 TANOSO AND ATWIMA KOFORIDUA CROWN JOINT CHAMPIONS FOR 2017 NYINAHIN DEANERY FUN GAMES.

St. Joseph’s Parish (Tanso) and St. John of God Rectorate (Atwima Koforidua) were crowned joint winners for the 2017 Nyinahin Deanery fun games held at Osei Tutu S.H.S sports complex, Akropong on 1st May 2017. 
The event was under the auspices of the Nyinahin Deanery and was aim at bringing the twelve (12) Parishes, Rectorates and Chaplaincy within the deanery together to foster unity among the parishes. Activities held included football, volley ball, Tag of War, Sack race, Draught, Lime and Spoon and filling the bottle. 
In the men football, St. John of God Rectorate (Atwima Koforidua), beat St. Joseph Rectorate (Nerebehi) on penalties to emerge winners of the football competition. 
Sacred Heart Rectorate (Nkawie) also beat St. Peters Parish (Toase) to emerge winners of the women volley ball competition.
 At the end, St. Joseph Parish (Tanoso) and St. John of God Rectorate both recorded 32 points each to be crowned joint champions for the 2017 Deanery Games. St. Joseph Rectorate (Nerebehi) took the 3rd position with 30 points; Sacred Heart Rectorate (Nkawie) placed 4th position with 28 points, St. Lawrence Parish (Akropong) the host parish placed 5th with 27 points. With 23 points, St. Paul’s Parish (Nyinahin) and St. Peter’s Parish (Toase) took the 6th position. St. Peter’s rectorate (Apatrapa) took the 8th position with 20 points. St. Mathew Parish (Kuffour’s camp) and St. Peter’s Parish (Abuakwa) placed 9th and 10th with 18 points and 10 points respectively.
